Let's try to make some progress

A lot of emails have been flying around about locations. I know not everyone has time to respond and keep up with them. So here is the cliff's notes version. Let us know where you would like the 2009 Reunion to be located. What location will you MOST LIKELY be able to get to. Since i think we all agree, the more family the better. (I guess that is the point of a reunion)
So please take a few seconds to anonymously answer the poll below this post. I have the date set to end Aug. 1ST only beause of some of the camping options. We will want to make those reservations earlier than later.

OK becca, i am betting it is just you and me who have voted so far, my vote is for Devils lake, I don't like Bass Lake (sorry Steph) I don't like private campgrounds

greg adn i are excited to camp!!! WE love it! And, most likely, it'll be our little gal's first intro to it! How exciting! We're up for the dells area... don't know much specific about any of the lakes around.. we'll let the locals decide!

I actually havent voted yet. I am still thinking about it. Glad that this seems to be working a little. Maybe i should add an option for "Go ahead and camp in the dells, but i am going to stay in a hotel" :):)

I do know that i would prefer a state park (devils lake) over a non state park.

Any of the campgrounds suggested are OK with me, however has anyone given any thought to keeping food from spoiling. When you say camping I think of at least overnight, how long is the reunion going to be? I suppose most everyone will have to drive at least 50 miles, most will drive more. I plan on coming directly from Denver. So far I haven't been to work up that much excitement. Camping is fine but not everyone is willing to participate and with many staying in resorts or hotels what kind of an experience is that?

I am waiting to choose my location until after this weekend. We are camping with 3 families. A total of 10 kids. So i will let you know what i think about group camping after the weekend!

I voted for anywhere in Eau Claire, if camping is selected, I won't be camping I need a bed and a shower. I'm not as young as I used to be. You young ones will find this out someday.

ya know, we could do the thing in EC like usual, and still camp. There is lots of camping in the area and if us out of towners want to camp we can arrange to do so all at the same place, Wissota is near by, coon forks i've heard is nice, so i have changed my vote to EC or CF

A suggestion for Williams reunion "spot" - Lake Wissota. A state park sticker is required (day pass available) but has a pavillion available at the beach/picnic area, sandy beach/swimming, hiking trails, sand volleyball, playground, pretty clean bathrooms (no pit!!),camping available for the campers, private boat rentals for ski/tube or pontoon, and only about 20 min. from EC for anyone bed/shower (Tim and I are with you on that, Tom!!)

I did vote to go camping but...
I like Tim's idea with having it at Lake Wissota. Those of us that want to camp can. Those that are just coming for the day can meet out there.
